After-hours care is occasionally shared with a small number of other like-minded obstetricians, although I will generally be available when I am not on leave. This enables the potentially difficult lifestyle of delivering babies at all hours to be a bit more sustainable, but it also means that you will not be cared for by an excessively sleep deprived obstetrician.
